Planeta produces La Segreta “Il Rosso” in Sicily from a blend led by Nero d’Avola with Merlot, Syrah, and Cabernet Franc, fermented and matured entirely in stainless steel for a fresh, unoaked style at 13% ABV.
Tasting Notes
The nose is vivid and ripe, with blackcurrant and mulberry lifted by Mediterranean herbs. The palate is juicy and accessible, with wild berry and plum, soft tannins, and a clean, balsamic finish.
Serve & Pair
Serve at 17–18°C; it suits pasta al ragù, pizza, grilled red meats, and chargrilled vegetables.
