The Make
The Macallan matures this Speyside single malt for at least twelve years exclusively in hand-picked European oak casks seasoned with Oloroso sherry from Jerez, bottled at 40% ABV with no added colour.
Tasting Notes
The nose shows vanilla, dried fruit, and sherry sweetness with a thread of wood smoke. The palate is rich and medium-full, with raisin, plum, dark barrel char, and soft spice over a long, warming finish.
Serve & Pair
Serve neat or with a splash of water to open the dried fruit and spice; it pairs with dark chocolate, roast duck, and spiced fruit cake.
