Colterenzio’s Chardonnay Altkirch is included in the category of “classic” wines that this cooperative winery produces from traditional grape varieties in their purest form. The Alpine barrier, along with 18,000 hours of annual sunshine, the breezes from Lake Garda, and the contrasting temperatures of warm days and cool nights, create optimal conditions for the growth of this and other aromatic and semi-aromatic grape varieties. The vines thrive in sandy, deep soils enriched with gravel deposits. The must undergoes fermentation primarily in steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 18°, with a smaller portion aged in large wooden barrels. The maturation process lasts several months on fine lees.

Colterenzio’s Chardonnay Altkirch presents itself in the glass with a youthful straw yellow hue and greenish highlights; its aroma is enchanting, featuring notes of pineapple and mango. On the palate, it is fresh, elegant, and well-balanced. It pairs wonderfully with fragrant summer vegetable omelettes or an amberjack tartare accompanied by exotic fruit and goat mousse.
