Vietti “Tre Vigne”, Barbera d’Asti DOCG, Piedmont, Italy, 750mL

The grapes are obtained from the La Crena vineyards located in Agliano Terme, as well as from various other villages situated in the hills surrounding Asti. The average density is 4,500 plants per hectare. The winemaking process begins with a pre-fermentative cold maceration, which is followed by alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel for about 2 weeks, involving frequent daily pumping over and délèstage operations. This is succeeded by post-fermentative maceration on the skins. After racking, the wine is transferred into barriques for malolactic fermentation.

The wine exhibits a ruby red color with notes of mineral and vanilla. It is a medium-bodied, dry wine characterized by a crisp acidity, making it suitable for an entire meal, along with soft tannins. This Barbera is exceptionally well-balanced, showcasing good complexity and a finish of red cherry.

It pairs well with appetizers, rich salads, grilled seasonal vegetables, soups, stews, pasta, veal, pork, and chicken served with light sauces.
