Bodegas Luis Canas Blanco Vinas Viejas, Rioja, Spain, 750mL

This white wine originates from the DO La Rioja and is crafted by Bodegas Luis Canas. It consists of a blend of 90% Viura and 10% Malvasía grape varieties. The grapes are sourced from vineyards that are over 50 years old. The harvest process is conducted manually, with bunches being meticulously selected both in the vineyard and at the winery.

The fermentation of the wine occurs in barrels for a duration of 17 days at a controlled temperature of 19º. Following this, it is transferred to new French oak barrels (75%) and American oak barrels (25%) to undergo malolactic fermentation, where it rests for 3 months along with its lees, resulting in a wine that is both voluminous and full-bodied.
