Vietti Derthona Timorasso Colli Tortonesi DOC, Piedmont, Italy, 750mL

The grapes used for producing this wine are cultivated in various vineyard locations in and around Monleale. They are oriented from a southeastern to southwestern exposure, with the soil consisting of calcareous marl.

Hand-harvested in mid-September of 2020, the grapes were destemmed and subsequently pressed with care. This was succeeded by the alcoholic fermentation, which primarily occurred in ceramic vessels, with a smaller fraction taking place in stainless steel tanks and large oak casks. The wine did not undergo malolactic fermentation.

Aging: Ten months – in ceramic vessels, stainless steel tanks, and large oak casks – on the fine lees, which are maintained in suspension through regular batonnage.
